What goes into the price

A transport-only quote covers hauling the home from point A to point B. A turnkey quote covers disconnecting utilities, removing skirting and steps, tearing down and re-setting the axles and hitch, permits and escorts, the haul itself, re-blocking and leveling on the new site, re-anchoring, reconnecting plumbing and electrical, and re-skirting. Sellers who compare a transport quote to a turnkey quote think they got two wildly different prices for the same job.

What drives it up in Arkansas

Distance and width matter most. A double-wide is two moves plus a marriage-line reassembly. Narrow county roads, low bridges, hills in the Ozarks and Ouachitas, tight park lots, trees, and overhead utility lines all add labor and escort requirements. Older homes add risk, because a 1980s single-wide can flex on the road and open seams in the roof and walls.

Age limits nobody warns you about
