Do I need to move the mobile home before selling it?
In most Arkansas sales the home stays where it is. When moving is required, here is what it costs and who arranges it.
Almost never. In most of our purchases the home stays exactly where it sits and we handle anything that has to be moved.
Moving a mobile home is expensive and hard on the structure, so nobody moves one without a reason.
When the home stays
If it is on land you are selling with it, or in a park that will approve a new owner, the home does not move at all. Title or deed transfers and that is the end of it.
When a move is required
Moves come up when a park is closing the lot, a landowner wants the lot cleared, or a family member is taking the land back. Transport requires a licensed hauler, permits, and often new setup and utility work on the other end.
Who pays
When we buy a home that has to be relocated, we arrange and pay for the move as the buyer and factor it into the offer. You are not left coordinating haulers.
